What do most of the successful diets, Paleo, Atkins, Mediterranean, South Beach, have in common? Low Sugar, High Fiber. When foods are processed, sugar is added to make it taste good and fiber is taken out for longer shelf life. One of the most important things you can do for your health is to decide to cut down or eliminate processed foods.


· Eat real, whole foods

· Shop in the perimeter of the store. The stuff in the middle is mostly processed

· Look for foods with one ingredient

·Drink more water

·Avoid soda, sports drinks, juice

· Read labels- if you can’t pronounce an ingredient, don’t eat it
